ISO 9000 Series Of Standards Were Released In The Year 1987. 2. 1st Revision Released In The Year 1994. 3. 2nd Revision Was Released In 2000. 4. Since, The Latest Revision Was Released In The Year 2000; It Is Known As ISO 9001: 2000. IN EALIER VERSIONS OF ISO 9000 SERIES , THERE WERE THREE CERTIFICATION STANDARDS 1. ISO 9001: For Design, Manufacturing, Installation & Servicing. 2. ISO 9002: For Manufacturing & Supply. 3. ISO 9003: For Final Inspection of Testing. However, The Latest Standard, ISO 9001:2000 Is A Generic Standard Applicable To All Sorts of organization Irrespective of Sectors Or Whether They Are Doing Design & other Activities or Doing Only Manufacturing or Only Trading. It Equally Applies To Health , Hospitality & Education Sectors. Though In The Series There Are Other Standards Like ISO 9000; ISO 9004; ISO 9011 Etc.
